The school was established in March 1981 as a primary school and eventually attained the status of a senior secondary school in April 2006, thanks to the untiring efforts of its founding members such as Sh. Om Marwah, Sh. Kalyan Sood, Late Sh. Sohan Singh Thakur (Dy DEO Retd), and Late Col G.R. Jamwal.
The school has been led and nurtured by retired principals of government schools. Col. Sobha Singh, a dedicated veteran, served as the head of the school for an impressive 15 years, during which the institute achieved numerous accolades under his invaluable guidance. His successor, Mr. O.P. Thakur, HAS (SDM) Retd., is currently leading the school and steering it towards its motto of ‘Pursuit of Excellence.’ Mr. O.P. Thakur has also served in the Army Educational Corps as a JCO and has taught in schools and colleges in the state of Himachal Pradesh before joining the Himachal Administrative Service.
The school is considered the best in terms of student enrollment and academic performance in the area. Our students consistently achieve good positions in the board examinations for both matriculation and +2 levels. We are proud to say that some of our students have gone on to become officers in the Indian Armed Forces, civil judges, advocates, doctors, engineers, managers, teachers in school and college, and even soldiers. They are excelling in their respective fields.
Currently, the school has 980 students enrolled, and a team of 50 highly qualified, dedicated, and experienced teachers is imparting quality education to our students. We also have 20 members in the non-teaching staff who work hard to support our mission of ‘Pursuit of Excellence.’ With the blessings of Almighty God and the support and good wishes of parents and guardians, our esteemed institute is committed to leaving no stone unturned in the all-round development of our students’ personalities, ensuring they become responsible citizens of our great country.
